Tempur Sealy and Ashley HomeStore continue to team up with one mission in mind — Operation Shut Eye. This program is dedicated to helping America’s Special Operations Forces' Warriors receive a well-deserved, perfect night's sleep.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve partnered with Darkhorse Benefits to donate truckloads of
Tempur-Pedic® mattresses to their Operation Shut Eye project. As a nonprofit 501c3 organization, Darkhorse Benefits works to improve the lives of active-duty Special Operations members as they reintegrate into life outside the military.

Updated Donation Milestone

Since the organization’s start in 2014, Tempur Sealy has proudly aided in the original pledge to donate 15,000 mattresses. Veterans Day 2019 marked the first milestone when Operation Shut Eye arrived at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, picking up the 10,000th Tempur-Pedic mattress donated to the program. With Tempur Sealy’s headquarters located nearby in Lexington, KY, this was an especially memorable trip.

While continuously working to bring Operation Shut Eye to other Special Operations units, our teams have proven successful in their efforts to give back. Though the initial pledge was to reach a total of 15,000 in donations, Tempur Sealy and Ashley HomeStore have surpassed this goal by delivering over 20,000 Tempur-Pedic mattresses as of 2025. We’re honored to contribute to this deserving cause, delivering top-quality mattresses and great sleep.

Tempur Sealy humbly announces a renewed commitment alongside Ashley HomeStore and Darkhorse Benefits. Our updated pledge is to aim for a total of 30,000 mattresses!
